Our story
Dance education with heart, discipline and purpose.
Founded by Aellan Tan in 1990 and established as A&J Creative Danceworld in 2000, the school has spent decades enriching the lives of children and adults through dance, confidence and proper etiquette.
Our curriculum develops different artistic styles of movement and self-expression for students of all ages—helping each person build technique, discover their potential and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

A&J is led by husband-and-wife team Aellan Tan and Jessie Loh—qualified instructors and creative directors united by a lifelong passion for dance.

Aellan Tan
Aellan’s love of dancing began in the 1980s. Competing internationally, he earned numerous amateur and professional titles in Latin dance and Rock ’N’ Roll before establishing the ANJ dance studio in 1990.
As an accredited coach, he has trained leading Latin dance couples for competition. His ability to instruct, inspire and motivate has earned him a reputation as one of Singapore’s prominent coaches. He is also an International Adjudicator qualified to judge major dance championships worldwide.

Jessie Loh
Jessie’s passion for dancing also began in the 1980s. She spent many years in the competitive arena and went on to become an accredited teacher.
Her teaching credentials are recognised by institutions including the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, the International Dance Teachers Association and the United Kingdom Alliance. Known for her detailed instruction and cheerful disposition, Jessie is warmly regarded by her students.
