Aellan’s love affair with dancing began in the 80’s. Competing internationally, he amassed many amateur and professional titles in Latin Dance and Rock N’ Roll. In 1990, Aellan set up ANJ dance studio, dedicating himself not only to teaching dance,

but to instilling his passion for dancing in all of his students. Since then, the studio has constantly achieved a high pass rate for its examination candidates in the ISTD/IDTA MedalTest.

As an accredited coach, Aellan has tutored many top Latin Dance couples for competition. His innate ability for instructing, inspiring and motivating students has earned him his reputation as one of Singapore’s most prominent coaches. He is also an International Adjudicator, qualified to judge at many major dance championships around the world.

Aellan is married to Jeesie, who is also an instructor at ANJ. Together, they have won many internationally recognised awards including:

Dancing has been Jeesie’s passion way back in 1980’s, having spent many years in the competitive arena as well as an accredited teacher. She has also been awarded the dance teachers’ examinations certificate with internationally recognized

dance institutions such as the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, the International Dance Teachers Association and the United Kingdom Alliance. Known for her detailed teaching and cheerful disposition, Jeesie is very well liked by all her students.


A self-confessed MTV addict, Yi-Fan is a huge fan of Japanese and Korean music. Through his work as a dancer and choreographer, he has collaborated with many famous groupssuch as 5566, Fann Wong, GrassHoppers, Linda Liao and

SheikHaikel. Yi-Fan’s exuberance makes his energetic classes a favourite among students.


A very versatile instructor that is always open to new ideas and dance styles, Rashidah is not a stranger to the local dance competition and judging scene. With an innate talent for dancing, Rashidah went on to pursue many different dance genres

such as Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Latin Jazz, Salsa, Funk, Modern, Contemporary and Ballet under the guidance of world renown instructors in New York, Seattle as well as Japan.

Jessica Lim 2

Jessica started dancing since 2005 when she joined New Revolving Age (NRA), the Hip Hop dance club in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Since then, she have performed for countless events, competed in many competitions, as well as choreographed for

NRA dance productions. Jessica has performed for the President’s Star Charity in 2009. Some competitions that Jessica have won include GAJA! Kpop Dance 2010 (1st place), Seventeen Magazine Summer Dance 2011 (1st place) and Teenage Magazine Battle Of The Kpop Champions 2012 (1st place). Her dance forte is in Hip Hop, Street Jazz and Kpop Dance. She have been teaching for more than 7 years now, and her passion and enthusiasm for dance can be seen vividly during her classes.


Yati is a successful participant of Singapore Health Promotion Board’s Lose to Win programme 2012. Having effectively lost over 20kgs within one year with mindful eating and regular exercise, she now leads Zumba classes to maintain her healthy lifestyle.

Her classes are fun, easy to follow and use various fitness variations in accordance with the Zumba formula. She ensures her playlists and routines are tweaked to suit participants of all fitness levels so that everyone can enjoy a good fat burning workout!


A multi-talented individual, Derrick is a dancer, choreographer, fitness instructor and chief aerobic instructor. Dancing professionally since 1984, Derrick has worked with the People’s Association Dance Company and the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation.

His early training came from a number of renowned tutors including Mr Anthony Then, Mdm Goh Soo Khim, Mr Tony Lacer, Mr Anthony TayKok Ching and Ms Sylvia Mccully. He studied Ballet at the Royal Academy of Dance, and was awarded his certification with commended results.


Jerry Lee has 13 years of experience in the fitness and aerobics industry teaching a broad range of fitness classes, from Kickboxing, Step, ABT/muscle conditioning and dance programs. In particular, he has good experience tailoring programs

to meet the special need of clients and believes that everyone can be trained to live fit and enjoy life.


Ivan is a recognized trainer in the dance industry for more than 7years. He holds ATOD(Australian Teachers of Dancing) and various dance certificates, and has received the ‘Sparkling Trainer’, ‘Star Trainer’ awards in the recent years. His dance background consists

Street Jazz and modern dance. His passion for dance has also brought him to become a Zumba/ Dance Fitness Instructor.

His class is Easy-to-follow, creates a party-like atmosphere that provides a non-intimidating opportunity for non-dancers, new exercisers, or those who have previously hesitated to participate in group classes.
